Waiving of Fines

There have been some questions on if we can waive fines on items that have been out pre-Harvey. Here is the clarification:

Only if the customer had returned the books would the fines have been waived automatically. If the items are not returned, there are not fines on the card but a bill for the replacement costs. That is not generally waived if it is legitimate.

So, any items that are returned during the time we are waiving fines, no matter if they were from 2010, we do waive.
